Job Description Autism Specialist Term of Employment: 10 months Reports to: EC Ancillary Support Specialist and Executive Director of Exceptional Children Purpose : Serves as an expert in best practices in serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other student needing support in communication, social skills and sensory areas. Job Description Purpose: Under general supervision, provides special education services to students identified as disabled in accordance with state and federal regulations who are following adapted curriculum (extensions to the common core). Work involves developing and implementing the Individual Education Program in classroom settings that are compatible with the student's age and developmental level.
