The Elementary School Counselor supports students' social-emotional development and student success. Operating within a safe, inclusive, and nuturing environment, the counselor helps students develop their potential, learn foundational interpersonal skills, and navigate early behavioral challenges. Qualified candidates will have a Master's Degree(preferred) from an accredited university or college in the field of school counseling, mental health or social work. This position is responsible for supporting the Seabrook students who have been identified with IEPs in Grades PK-8. The candidate must be certified as an RBT. The position will require (but is not limited to) the following tasks to suppport students: Behavior Intervention Plan Implementation; implementing interventions based applied behavior analysis science to teach new skills; work collaboratively with all service providers to ensure carryover and generalization of academic, social and behavior skills; collect and maintain accurate data; etc. The RBT will receive support and required supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will serve under the supervision of the Special Services Director.
