Job Description POSITION PURPOSE: The Academic Interventionist - with a strong concentration in mathematics - is responsible for providing leadership and expertise to students and to work collaboratively with the classroom teachers to improve math achievement for each and every learner. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare and provide hands on, experiential learning opportunities to students through demonstration and experimentation. Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and schedule lessons that align with SC Math Standards and Companion Documents for Math. Mentor students and prepare them for math competitions.
