As a Special Event Assistant, you'll help lead games and activities for up to 200 campers and turn special events into unforgettable camp highlights. From helping lead Tug of War in 500 pounds of Jell-o to racing across Lake Massapoag in cardboard box boats - you will support and lead large-scale activities, managing energy, organization, and fun for campers ages 4 to 15. As our Lower Camp Music Instructor, you'll introduce campers ages 4-9 to the world of music through fun, hands-on, beginner-friendly lessons that spark curiosity and creativity. You'll teach the basic fundamentals of musical instruments while keeping sessions engaging, playful, and perfectly tailored for our smallest musicians. You'll lead groups of approximately 15 campers during 35-minute periods, with the support of 1-3 counselors who remain with the group as assistants while you take the lead.
