Job Description Gifted Intervention Specialist DENNIS ELEMENTAR SUMMARY: Under general direction, provides daily instruction to gifted students; prepares daily instructional lessons and supervises student participation in curricular, co-curricular and related activities. DUTIES/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serves as an advocate for gifted students and assures that those gifted students' needs are met.Serves as a resource person for ideas and materials to help general education classroom teachers modify content, process, or product to meet identified student needs in the general education classroom.Develops appropriate curricula based on content standards, student ability, achievement, and needs.Provides instruction to assigned students; prepares and implements daily lesson plans in collaboration with the general education classroom teacher.Pulls together flexible groups for service to identified students of superior cognitive ability,...
