Job Description GRANT FUNDED SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER (K-12) General Statement of Job: Enhances the overall academic mission by providing students and families with wraparound coordination targeting students' out-of-school needs, as well as services that address barriers to learning and achievement.Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills: As required by the state of North Carolina, must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, licensure, and experience providing students with interventions. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Working to assist our McKinney-Vento population with resource connections and removing barriers to their education. Focus on the attendance/truancy process and remove barriers that are negatively impacting the child's education. Actively engage parents in their child's education and mitigate negative impacts on students' attendance.
