Job Description CITY OF STAUNTON Equipment Operator I-Streets The City of Staunton's Public Works Department is seeking an Equipment Operator I to join its team in the Streets Division. Successful candidate performs routine semi-skilled work in the operation of motorized equipment related to street maintenance and construction; performs manual labor related to work assigned; Performs regularly scheduled standby duties including sewer, water, streets and storm related problems. Responds to unscheduled emergency work such as storms, ice and snow emergencies. Performs seasonal operations such as leaf collection, heavy trash pickup and snow removal. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade and some experience in the operation of motorized equipment.
