Job Description Reports To: Building Administrator Qualifications: Valid Michigan teaching certificate. Endorsement(s) sought: English (BA/BX) and English As Second Language (NS) Description: Provide high quality instruction that supports and aligns to the district's educational vision and mission. Facilitate an environment that fosters the learning of all students. Remain knowledgeable of educational standards and strategies to meet the academic, developmental and social emotional needs of students. Assess and modify instructional practice leading toward increased student achievement. Utilize educational technology to support student's instruction and learning. Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers, parents and community.

Job Description Learning Center teachers will develop and implement evidence-based instructional, communication, and behavioral support for students in collaboration with related service providers per the Individual Education Program (IEP). They will function as case managers and ensure compliant individualized education, while supporting the vision and mission of Utica Community Schools by demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence.
