Job Description School Police Officer Full Time This is a 10 month (210 Day) position. The job of School Police Officer (Act 44 Article XIII-C Section 1301-c) is a law officer employed by a school district whose responsibilities, including, working work hours that are established by the school district. The Police Officer is appointed by the Court of Common Pleas and is authorized by the court, to exercise the same powers as exercised under the authority of law or ordinance by the police of the municipality in which the school property is located and serve as such at any designated school as directed by the Superintendent and or the Chief of Police/Director of School and Public Safety. The Coatesville Area School District is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Education and Experience: Preferred minimum of 3 years' experience.
