Duties and Responsibilities: Provides crossing guard services at assigned locations; assists elementary school students crossing busy streets and intersections. Ensures students cross street(s) only when safe; stop vehicles by using hand held stop signs; supervise students while waiting for traffic to clear. Ensures that students are aware of proper safety rules when crossing streets; instruct students in basic safety techniques when crossing streets.
