GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the Supervision of the High School Band Director, the Winter Percussion Director is responsible for the planning and instruction of the school's percussion students during the winter pep band season (December to February) . The instructor prepares appropriate music and rehearses the ensemble for events. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma Strong background in marching band, and percussion performance. Drum corps or university marching band experience preferred. Experience in the various subgroups of the percussion section (e.g. snare, bass, tenors, mallets, etc.) Previous experience with instructing/teaching percussion.
