Job Description REPORTS TO: School Principal and Director of Pupil Personnel Services JOB GOAL: Speech and Language Therapists work to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, and swallowing disorders. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1) Master's degree in speech language pathology or related field 2) 1-3 years of speech language pathology experience 3) Active state SLP license 4) ASHA certification preferred PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual student's needs to facilitate the development of appropriate speech and language skills. 2) Establish and maintain a positive climate for learning. 3) Sets high expectations for student achievement and behavior. 4) Conducts speech and language screenings and diagnostic evaluations to determine the need for services. 5) Monitors student progress and makes informed, timely decisions regarding student...
