Job Description The Amherst Public School District is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Intervention Teacher at the Amethyst Brook Elementary School. The Intervention Teacher is a building-based position that supports our school's Spanish/ English Dual Language program, Response to Intervention (RTI) and Child Study Team (CST) processes. The Intervention Teacher will work collaboratively with the Spanish/ English Dual Language program and the Literacy and Math Coaches to ensure that intervention support is tailored to meet the needs of students. This is a district-wide position. Responsibilities In conjunction with and under the supervision of the Director of Special Services and the building principals: Create, manage, and supervise programs and staff development activities designed to maximize the skills of diverse learners in the least restrictive setting. Work closely with ETFs, teachers, and specialists. Ensure that timelines are met and paperwork is completed.
