Job Description School Year : 2025-26 Immediate Opening: The Role of a Social Worker at Achievement First: The school social worker leads the school's efforts to ensure that students have the emotional support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Social workers collaborate and partner with students, parents, and members of the school staff. The position reports jointly to the Director of Special Services and the principal of the building in which they work. Job Description The Pawtucket School Department is seeking Social Workers. SUMMARY: Supports students with behavioral, mental, emotional or physical problems; counsels students whose behavior, school progress or mental or physical disability or condition indicates need for assistance. Consults with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to determine causes of problems and effect solutions. Arranges for medical, psychiatric, and other test and examination that may disclose causes of difficulties and indicate remedial measures.
