Job Description Acton-Boxborough Regional High School is seeking a skilled and experienced special education teacher in the Horizons Program. Students receiving support through the Horizons program present with complex learning and cognitive profiles. Students mayhave primary identifications of communication impairment or specific learning disabilities, and may secondarily experience social-emotional and/or attentional challenges. Job Requirements Qualifications: Master's degree preferred; Must have a Massachusetts licensure in Moderate or Intensive/Severe Special Needs 5-12 through the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education; Must have demonstrated success with and be knowledgeable about current research-based interventions for students with disabilities; Must possess demonstrated ability to develop positive behavior intervention plans; Training, knowledge and expertise in transition assessment, pre-vocational and vocational skill development...
