Job Description FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to teach high school students health science curriculum courses. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develops and delivers lesson plans for health sciences courses. Health science curriculum topics include human anatomy, physiology, human body systems, and human body diseases and disorders, as well as clinical skills used by healthcare professionals in the healthcare industry. Instruction is also provided for CPR as well as necessary skills to prepare students for the Nurse Aide I assessment. • Supervise and work directly with students in classroom lab and clinical setting to provide instruction in appropriate personal care of patients and basic nursing skills. • Provide normal maintenance of the health science lab equipment and ensure that inventory of materials and supplies is up to date. • Teach and practice necessary safety precautions to protect students, patients, equipment, materials, and facilities. •...
