Job Description JOB TITLE: Instructional Assistant - General Education REPORTS TO: Director of Health Services SUPERVISES: Non-Applicable EMPLOYMENT AND FLSA STATUS: Classified/Non-Exempt/Hourly POSITION PURPOSE The health assistant works under the supervision of the corporation nurse to provide health services to students, staff and visitors in the building. The health assistant provides care using good judgment while following established policies and procedures. Services provided by the health assistant include medication administration, first aid for injuries, and evaluating illnesses. Additional responsibilities will be assigned by the corporation nurse and/or the building principal. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serve as a paraprofessional to care for students in the event of illness or injury.
