Job Description Middle School Math Teacher Job Description Position: Teacher FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Principal Purpose: To plan, organize and present instruction and instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Planning, presenting, and assessing the curriculum as defined in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. This position exists under a strategic staffing initiative and receives an initial $7500 sign-on bonus and another $7500 bonus in June of year one. In October of year two the teacher will receive another $7500 bonus. If the teacher attained met or exceeded growth in year one, as identified in EVAAS, s/he will receive another $7500 bonus in June of year two. This position has the potential to earn an additional $30,000 over a two-year span if all requirements are met.
