Job Description General Definition of Work The art teacher, under moderate supervision, performs instructional work with limited decision-making discretion providing leadership in the educational environment that encourages and nurtures learning for all students. The teacher supervises, monitors, and evaluates students while developing lesson plans to ensure all student needs are met. Position teaches art history and visual art skills including drawing, painting, sculpting, and various other types of visual arts. Employee performs school-based work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the principal.
