To improve the educational opportunities of students referred for special education, who have behavioral and/or learning problems through diagnostic evaluations and individualized prescriptive plans. To gain practical experience under the supervision of a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) and/ or School Psychologist. Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities 1. Administer approved psychological, achievement and intelligence measures, using instruments and procedures approved by the district. 2. Prepare evaluation reports, utilizing the format approved by the district. 3. Participate in admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) committee meetings to interpret appraisal results. 4. Ensure quality and delivery of school psychology services for eligible special needs students. Provide intervention, guidance, and support for students in crisis as part of the Child Assistance, Remediation and Evaluation (CARE) Team. Work collaboratively with campus staff and parents to develop effective and responsive strategies to supports students who are struggling with behavior. Review or develop campus crisis intervention. and/or behavior intervention plans for specific students.
