Position: Mathematics Teacher (High School - Grades 9-12)

Location: Northridge High School - Licking County, Ohio

Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year

Reports to: High School Principal

Northridge Local School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Mathematics Teacher to join our high school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction to students in grades 9-12 and preparing them for post-secondary success through rigorous mathematics instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio teaching license in Adolescence to Young Adult (AYA) Integrated Mathematics (Grades 7-12)
  • Completion of an accredited educator preparation program in Mathematics Education
  • Successful completion of the Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE):
    • OAE 003 - Assessment of Professional Knowledge: AYA (7-12)
    • OAE 027 - Mathematics

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or related field
  • Clear BCI/FBI background checks as required by the Ohio Department of Education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience teaching high school mathematics
  • Knowledge of Ohio's Learning Standards for Mathematics
  • Strong classroom management and instructional differentiation skills
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and student data systems
  • Commitment to professional growth and collaboration
Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction in high school-level mathematics courses (e.g., Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus)
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned to curriculum standards and student needs
  • Assess student learning and use data to guide instruction
  • Support academic growth through regular feedback and differentiated support

    Participate in building and district meetings, professional learning, and parent communication
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
