Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education
- ODE Resident Educator License or Permanent Teaching License for Elementary (P-3)
- Ability to work with diverse groups
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood curricula and practices
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Position Description:
The elementary teacher will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Deliver instruction in a manner that allows students to remain on task by utilizing a variety of instructional techniques.
- Demonstrate appropriate academic planning and organization.
- Design and employ a variety of objective and consistent assessment techniques to evaluate learning and development.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.
- Establish and maintain effective classroom control.
- Reinforce appropriate social and academic interventions using constructive methods.
- Maintain professional interactions with other educational personnel, parents, and the community.
