- Provide appropriate educational instruction to students assigned
- Abide by the philosophy of district policy and rules and regulations as determined by the Board of Education and administration
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Ohio teaching certificate, as defined by the State of Ohio
- Knowledge of courses of study and instructional strategies
- BCI/FBI Check
JOB LOCATION
- Building as assigned by Superintendent; classroom as assigned by Building Principal
EQUIPMENT UTILIZED
- Computers
- Projectors and other media equipment
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential
- Maintain necessary certification
- Prepare lesson plans that are consistent with adopted graded courses of study
- Implement instructional strategies as defined by course of study
- Maintain student discipline and classroom management
- Observe and communicate student progress
- Be involved in school-related functions for the benefit of students
- Attempt to meet the needs of all students
- Participate in IEP/IAT/SST/PBIS etc. meetings when appropriate
- Participate in professional development
- Perform all related duties as assigned
- Incorporated within one or more of the previously mentioned essential functions of this job description are the following essential physical requirements:
- Ability to work at a desk, conference table, or in meetings of various configurations
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to see for purposes of reading printed matter and observing students
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels
- Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversations
- Ability to bend and twist, stoop, kneel, run and crawl
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to carry 25 pounds
- Ability to operate office/computer equipment
- Ability to reach in all directions
- Other related duties as assigned
