Job Description Alternative Education Director starting July 1 MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as our Alternative Education Director for our 75 student high school alternative education program located at our Frank Jewett School in Buxton Maine. The director will provide the administrative leadership of the district's Alternative Education Programs, including the daily management functions. The successful candidates will foster a strong sense of community for staff, students and families; supervise and evaluate staff; design and facilitate professional learning opportunities and foster strong instructional skills in an experiential learning environment. Applicants for this position must have a masters degree; Maine State Certification preferably a #040; experience with at-risk or alternative education students; and 5 or more years experience in school leadership, administration, or special education.
