Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION : Under the Board of Education Police Department, Chief of Police, the Captain of Professional Standards and Accreditation is tasked with overseeing internal affairs investigations and managing the accreditation process to ensure compliance with state and CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) standards. The Captain works in the Professional Standards Unit, which is dedicated to upholding top levels of conduct and performance throughout the department. The Office of Professional Standards also has oversight of the Data Analyst and that position is responsible for criminal analysis duties in support of the Board of Education's Campus Police.
