Job Description POSITION DESCRIPTION The Transportation Director has the responsibility to direct and plan the transportation operations in support of the education programs for Mason City School District. REPORTING Reports to Chief Operations Officer FLSA Status: Exempt ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Conforms to all state laws and regulations regarding school transportation. Maintains safety standards in conformance with state and insurance regulations and develops a program of preventive safety. Stays abreast of industry standards and rule/law changes. Submits information required for state reports. Completes and dispatches insurance claims information to district preferred insurance agencies. Acts as liaison with parents for complaints and special requests. Collaborates with drivers and building administrators to resolve discipline problems occurring on school buses.
