Job Description Description: Behavior Interventionist Job Summary : Assist with the development the school's behavior intervention program Work directly with students to establish behavioral goals Assist staff in: defining and measuring behavior; understanding principles of reinforcement; teaching new behavior; implementing strategies for weakening behavior; and identifying antecedents Monitor the Behavior Intervention Program within the classroom Provide recognition of a variety of student accomplishments and positive behaviors Conduct conflict resolution and peer mediation sessions with students Provide students with behavior instruction that is explicit, intensive, accelerated and provides ample practice Serve as a resource to provide formal and informal training, supervision, guidance and assistance to students, educators, parents, service providers and agencies, as needed Collect data via direct student observation and consultation with classroom...
