Job Description Slate Valley Unified Union School District has an anticipated opening for a long-term substitute teacher in special education. The ideal candidate will have a license in special education and be prepared to support a variety of learners with disabilities. Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction in classrooms, in small groups, and individually in the basic skill areas, as well as supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students. Small caseload, mentoring, and instructional coaching will be available to the selected candidate. Professional educator/special educator license is required or the candidate must be eligible for a provisional license in special education. The driver must maintain a safe environment on the vehicle and ensure compliance with all state and federal traffic laws and District policies.
