Job Description High School Algebra and ELA Tutor Are you passionate about teaching and learning? Are you motivated to make a positive impact in the lives of urban, working-class youth? The Job: SmartStart Education seeks a small group Algebra and ELA Tutor to work with small groups of high school students on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Each small group consists of 1-4 students. Each group consists of students who have been identified as students who are struggling with fundamental algebra and ELA skills. Students are from grade levels 9th through 12th. The tutor will work with each group several times throughout the week at a high school in Dayton, OH. Groups will take place within the classroom (push-in services) or outside of the classroom (pull-out services). Tutors should be flexible and comfortable with both settings.
