Job Description TITLE: 8th Grade Math Teacher - King Middle School POSITION OVERVIEW: Portland Public Schools seeks a skilled Math Teacher to join the teacher at King Middle School. We are looking specifically for educators with a demonstrated commitment to equitable teaching practices, a willingness to collaborate closely with others, and the ability to teach to high standards in a heterogeneous classroom. Experience with Illustrative Mathematics and working with Multilingual Learners are preferred assets. Under direction of the school Principal, the Math Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students. Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure Success for Every Student.
