Job Description I. Position Purpose The Elementary Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, evidence-based instruction in a learning environment that fosters the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of every student. This role is dedicated to achieving the goals of the Blueprint for Maryland's Future and the mission of Somerset County Public Schools to ensure every student is college and career-ready. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instructional Excellence: Delivers curriculum aligned with Maryland College and Career Ready Standards (MCCRS) and the Blueprint for Maryland's Future. Evidence-Based Literacy: Implements instructional practices aligned with the Science of Reading (particularly for Early Childhood/Elementary roles).
