Job Description TITLE: Van Driver (School Year) Transportation POSITION OVERVIEW: The school van driver is responsible for the proper pick-up, transportation, and discharge of students along appropriate routes and on sanctioned athletic, field, or other special trips. The van driver, at all times, operates a school van (up to 14 passengers), obeying all applicable federal, state, and local traffic laws as well as Portland Public Schools' policies and procedures. The van driver is also responsible for enforcing PPS's Student Bus Conduct Code. The van driver inspects, performs minor maintencance, and cleans their assigned vehicle daily.
