This is a hands-on, student-centered role where your expertise truly mattersand where you'll be supported by a team that values your voice, growth, and well-being.
What You'll Do
As an Intervention Specialist, you will:
- Support students with IEPs in inclusive classroom settings through collaboration and co-teaching
- Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with clear, measurable goals
- Conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments and create effective behavior intervention plans
- Use research-based and culturally responsive practices to support academic and social-emotional growth
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and partnership
- Serve as a key member of a collaborative school team that believes in shared success
- Participate in school-wide events and activities that strengthen community
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Hold a current Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license (required)
- Have experience in inclusion classrooms, co-teaching, or resource support
- New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Are familiar with Ohio Learning Standards and Common Core
- Value collaboration, coaching, and continuous improvement
- Bring strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Are comfortable using basic technology (Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Are committed to building meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Can pass required state and federal background checks
