EMIT Learning is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Services (Temporary Leave Coverage) to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in schools, your role will be to provide screening, assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to children with speech and language disorders. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support students' communication skills and academic success. Your work will be instrumental in helping students overcome communication barriers and reach their full potential.

Assignment Details
  • Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Location: New York (On-site or Teletherapy, depending on availability)
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • End Date: May 2026 (subject to change)
  • Estimated FTE: 0.75
  • Student Caseload: Approx. 31 students (subject to fluctuation)
  • Hours: Determined based on IEP service mandates and provider availability

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver speech-language therapy services aligned with students' IEPs
  • Adapt to fluctuating caseload as needed (currently approx. 31 students)
  • Coordinate and maintain service delivery schedules in collaboration with school district staff
  • Provide services in-person or via teletherapy based on assignment details and district needs
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines for service documentation

Qualifications
  • Valid New York State License/Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with school-age children with IEPs strongly preferred
  • Prior experience delivering teletherapy services preferred (if applicable)
  • Strong documentation skills and knowledge of compliance requirements
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with school teams and families
