Salary: FLSA: Non-Exempt
$2,996.27- $4,577.32, plus local supplement

The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant's years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position. Experience outside of this system is not recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools' pay scale.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant work experience preferred
  • General knowledge of Locksmithing skills preferred.
  • Basic electrical, HVAC, including boilers, chiller maintenance, service and operation, plumbing, carpentry and other motor mechanics also preferred.
  • Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects.
  • Frequent and high climbing.
  • Must be able to drive/operate a variety of vehicles (dump truck, tractor, lawnmowers, construction equipment, etc.).
  • Work in extreme temperatures; tolerate dust, chemicals and other substances and environmental conditions associated with maintenance work.
  • Emotionally mature, able to work cooperatively, cope with stress appropriately and abruptly change tasks in a composed manner.

Duties
  • General Locksmithing duties
  • Basic maintenance and repair work in the areas of HVAC, including boilers, chiller maintenance, service and operation, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Inspect fire extinguishers
  • Change HVAC filters
  • Operate and maintain mowing equipment, tree trimming equipment
  • Clean gutters and roofs
  • General labor
  • Observe all safety rules
  • Other duties as assigned
