Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Proper and current certification to teach the appropriate content and grade levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse teaching team
- Willingness to grow as an educational leader
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Education or a related field
- At least 3 years of urban teaching experience
- Demonstrated success in raising student academic performance
- Experience in school leadership, culture building, coaching, and staff development
Responsibilities
The district is seeking teachers who:
- Maximize learning time with a strong sense of urgency
- Have demonstrated academic success
- Show deep content mastery and continue growing in it
- Are committed to doing "whatever it takes" for student success
- Accept full accountability for ensuring students meet or exceed high academic standards
Other Duties:
- Additional tasks as assigned by building or central office administrators
- Use of standard office and classroom technology
- Travel between school sites or to professional meetings as needed
- Work in standard school/office environments
