Position Description:
An enthusiastic teacher is needed to provide classroom instruction for metal fabrication and welding courses. The successful candidate will be both innovative and creative, possess a commitment to career technical education, and an overall passion for project, problem-based learning with real world application. This teacher is responsible to ensure all students acquire some industry-based credentials including, but not limited to American Welding Society (AWS) certification, AWS Qualification, NCCER CORE, NCCER Level 1, and OSHA 10.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
To be qualified for this position, applicants must possess:
•Valid licensure, certification, and/or registrations as required by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (or any governing body associated with the education programs directed) or the ability to obtain one;
•Industry-based experience in the field of Metal Fabrication and/or Welding.
•Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
•History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
•Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
