Job Description Champion Local School District is seeking applications from qualified and dedicated educators for an opening as a high school science teacher beginning August, 2026. The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching a range of high school science courses including Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics, and will foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment for all students. POSITION: - High School Science Teacher with ability to teach Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Valid Ohio teaching license in 7-12 Science (Integrated Science or specific content areas).
- Ability to teach multiple science disciplines.
- Strong content knowledge and instructional practices in science education.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned science courses.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to Ohio Learning Standards.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to engage students in scientific inquiry.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
- Integrate technology and laboratory experiences into instruction.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with staff on curriculum development and school initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
