This ANTICIPATED position will be for a Kindergarten Teacher or a 1st Grade Teacher
Sterling Public Schools seeks a motivated and passionate educator to join our dynamic teaching team. In this role, you will foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that inspires young learners to explore and discover. Our ideal candidate is committed to educational excellence and student growth, able to work collaboratively with peers, and adept at adapting lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs in both Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
Key Responsibilities
Create and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
Assess and document student progress and provide targeted feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages respect and learning.
Communicate effectively with parents and staff to support student success.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Master's Degree in related area preferred.
Valid teaching certification for the state of Connecticut. (013 - Elementary K-6) (305-Elementary 1-6)
Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
Strong understanding of early childhood learning principles and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
