Job Description St. Theresa Catholic School has an opening for a Full-Time Math Teacher for the
2026-2027 School Year.

Reports to: Principal
We are seeking someone with experience teaching and planning general math, pre-Algebra,
and Algebra instruction for students in grades 6-8. Each candidate should work well as part of a
cohesive middle school team that actively engages students in their faith formation, academic instruction, and the development of the whole person.
Responsibilities:
- Help live, instill, and motivate the Virtues and Mission of STCS.
- Maintain professional, charitable, cooperative and respectful relationships with all members of the STCS community.
- Serve as a homeroom teacher to include supervising during Mass and assemblies.
- Establish and maintain effective discipline.
- Be well-prepared for all assigned teaching duties.
- Carry out duties in a responsible manner regarding curriculum, co-curricular activities, safety, and other assigned tasks.
- Use technology and incorporate it in teaching and related duties.
Qualifications:
- Be deeply committed to the development of the faith life of students and dedicated to the ministry of Catholic Education.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in education, math, or related field.
- Hold appropriate Virginia or VCEA Certification and complete a child protection seminar (VIRTUS) prior to starting.
- Completion of diocesan new teacher application.
- Hold Basic Diocesan Religion Certification or be eligible to obtain this certification within three years
