Job Description | POSITION Healthcare Services Instructor - 2 positions
| GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Healthcare Services Instructor is responsible for the delivery of quality education that adheres to required curriculum standards. Students participate in the Future Health Professionals organization HOSA.
| LOCATION
- West Chester Campus, Bioscience Center - 2 positions
- Grades 10 -12
- Courses taught may include Allied Health, Medical Assisting, Patient Centered Care, and/or Patient Centered Care & Diagnostics.
- Student Credential Outcomes: Certified Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Medical Assistant, and/or EKG. Phlebotomy may be added in future years.
| QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio State Board of Education or ability to obtain proper licensure. Applicants must meet ONE of the following requirements to be considered for this position:
- Current Ohio teacher licensure in one of the following areas:
- Diversified Health Occupations (070998),
- Diagnostic Pathway (074820),
- Therapeutic Pathway (074830), OR
- Practical Nurse (070302)
- Nurse Assisting (070303) OR
- BSN or MSN and at least two years experience as an RN or LPN under a valid Ohio nursing license OR
- Associates degree in nursing and at least three years experience as an RN or LPN under a valid Ohio nursing license OR
- Nursing program certificate and at least four years experience as an RN or LPN under a valid Ohio nursing license;
- Candidates without Ohio teacher licensure must be willing and able to complete Ohio's alternative teacher licensure process;
- Eligibility to serve as CNA Primary Instructor, which requires at least one year of experience as a registered nurse in a long-term care setting;
- Successful completion of a Train the Trainer program or willingness to complete such program;
- Strong skillset and experience in phlebotomy;
- Willingness and ability to support facilitation of year-round student externships preferred;
- Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
- Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
- Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
- Valid driver's license with access to personal insured vehicle during work hours;
- History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
- Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

| SALARY Based upon experience and education ($52,819 110,180)
