Maimonides School, a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in Brookline, MA, is hiring a middle school math teacher for the school year beginning in September, 2026. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get back into the classroom after taking a break, or a retired teacher who still wants to have an impact on students. What you will do
Teach 2 or 3 math classes per week to students in grades 6-8, depending on our needs and your schedule
Create and deliver highly engaging lessons to a wide range of learners
Track student progress and communicate with students and families regarding performance and progress
Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Minimum 1-3 years previous experience teaching middle or high school math
Enthusiasm for working with middle school students
Committed to working as part of a collaborative team that prepares students with both skills and content knowledge as they develop as learners
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary is $25,000-$35,000/year for 20-30 hours/week; salary is commensurate with years of experience and highest degree
Paid time off for state, federal, and Jewish holidays
Early release Fridays
