Consistent with the Agreement between the North Canton City Schools Board of Education and the North Canton Education Association, the following position is being posted for the period of April 23 - 29, 2026, or until filled.
Middle School Social Studies/ELA Teacher
- Contract Type: Teacher
- Location: North Canton Middle School
- Full-time
- Effective Dates: 2026-27 school year
- Main teaching responsibilities will be to teach the Discover Classes (social studies), which are for 6th and 7th-grade students who are identified as Superior Cognitive gifted
- This person will also teach one class of 8th-grade English Language Arts
- Licensure Requirement: Candidate must possess (or will possess by the start of the school year) a current Ohio Teaching license with one or more of the following certifications:
- Middle Childhood 4 - 9 Social Studies and English Language Arts
- Elementary 1 - 8
- Middle Childhood 4 - 9 Social Studies and English Language Arts
- NOTE: A Gifted Intervention Specialist Endorsement is preferred but not required
