We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will help care for the people who make our mission possible. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive and supportive employee experience. The Human Resources Generalist will support day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records administration, benefits coordination, payroll support, compliance, and employee support.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will help support the day-to-day human resources needs of the organization. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring logistics
  • Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintaining personnel records, HR documentation, and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Supporting employee benefits administration and related communication
  • Assisting with leave administration, workers’ compensation, disability, and other employee support processes
  • Coordinating payroll support activities with Accounting and/or the payroll provider, including timesheets, personnel changes, and related documentation
  • Serving as a point of contact for routine employee questions related to payroll, benefits, onboarding, leave, and HR processes
  • Supporting compliance with organizational policies and applicable employment laws
  • Assisting with HR reports, audits, surveys, and special projects as assigned
  • Helping foster a workplace culture that is respectful, mission-driven, and supportive of staff success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Two to four years of human resources or related administrative experience required
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and payroll coordination preferred
  • Nonprofit experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment processes, and confidentiality standards

Compensation

$60,000 annual salary

Working Conditions

This position is based on Oahu and generally works Monday through Friday during regular business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed. The role is office-based and includes extended periods of computer use.
