QualificationsCandidates should possess:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Valid Massachusetts DESE Mathematics license at the appropriate level
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective mathematics pedagogy and curriculum design
- Experience teaching or working with high school students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive instructional practices
- Experience using instructional technology and digital tools to support student learning
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute positively to department initiatives
- Interest in contributing to student life beyond the classroom through advising, clubs, or extracurricular involvement

- Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction grounded in conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application
- Use varied instructional strategies, formative assessment, and differentiation to support diverse learners

- Utilize data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions
- Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance learning
Collaboration and Professional Practice- Work collaboratively within Professional Learning Communities to support curriculum development, common assessment work, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to departmental efforts around vertical alignment, inclusive curriculum practices, and instructional innovation
- Engage in reflective practice and professional learning aligned to district priorities
- Partner effectively with families, support staff, counselors, and administrators to promote student success

- Teach multiple sections of high school mathematics courses, with assignments based on department needs
- Plan and deliver effective instruction aligned with district curriculum and Massachusetts Mathematics Frameworks
- Develop assessments and use evidence of student learning to adjust instruction

- Maintain a positive classroom culture conducive to learning
- Participate actively in department meetings, professional collaboration, and school initiatives
