Conservatory Lab Charter School seeks teachers who are passionate about Expeditionary Learning, teaching and learning, and El Sistema, music integration.. We seek innovative, collaborative, and community-oriented educators who desire to build a unique culture and improve practice through reflection, professional development, and coaching.

Conservatory teachers work in teams to ensure that the school's academic standards are rigorous, clear, measurable, and aligned with Common Core. The interventionist will work closely with a group of pupils on a regular basis in an effort to provide them with the academic help and support they need to gain as much benefit from the curriculum program as possible in order to deliver high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the achievement gap among subgroups within the schools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports Math / Literacy learning for Tier II interventions.
Provides both classroom push-in and pull-out for at-risk learners.
Support the math and/or literacy program and work with learning specialists and Directors to implement interventions.
Targeted instruction in reading and/or math and other curriculum tasks, guiding and teaching them.
May work with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
Establishes as fully as possible a supportive and sympathetic relationship with the student(s) without fostering or encouraging intense emotional involvement.
Serves as a resource person, if and when requested, to the student personnel evaluation team conferring about one of the students to whom assigned.
Maintains data of student's progress and communicates regularly with the general education teachers.
Regularly assesses student performance
Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in related content
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred:

2-3 years of experience working with urban youth
Master's Degree: Reading, Special education, Mathematics
SEI endorsement
Experience in inclusion or Special needs classrooms
Language proficiency: Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole
Salary commensurate with experience.
