Pay Schedule: Teacher Salary
This position is for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Minimum Requirements:
-Officer/Warrant Officer. Must be retired from the Navy in the grades of W-1 through W-5 or O-3 through O-6.
-Navy Cadet Command Certified at the time of interview.
-MUST be Child Care National Agency Check and Inquiries (CNACI) cleared/approved with documentation available NLT day of interview.
-Fully capable of performing all duties per Navy Regulation 145-2 and Army Cadet Command Regulation 145-2.
-12 month (245 day) contract.

Naval Science Instructor (NSI) retired enlisted (E-6- E-8) Navy or Coast Guard position immediately available at Richland Northeast High School Navy JROTC. RNE is a two-instructor unit with a large office/conference room, supply room and two classrooms. Average enrollment for RNE NJROTC is 130 Cadets. In the last 4 years RNE NJROTC has been the Most Improved Unit, twice designated a Distinguished Unit with Honors. The unit has an active drill team, orienteering team, drone and air rifle team. Previous experience as an NSI is beneficial but not required. The position is a 12-month contract exceeding the Navy Minimum pay. The unit is located within 5 miles of Fort Jackson Army Training Center with easy PX/Commissary access and within 7 miles of Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center. The RNE NJROTC program has unparalleled support from the local community, administrators, and school district.
