Primary Function: The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) Teacher supports SCCPSS's 21st CCLC grant by providing high-quality academic enrichment, youth development, and family engagement activities outside of the regular school day.Position is contingent upon 21st CCLC funding.

Department: Compensatory Programs / 21st Century

Reports To: 21st Century Site Coordinator

Employment Status: Part-Time or Temporary, Grant-Funded

Work Schedule: After-School, Saturday, and/or Summer

Location: Assigned SCCPSS 21st CCLC School Site(s)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

• Valid Georgia teaching certificate or eligibility per SCCPSS and grant guidelines

• Experience working with school-aged children in an instructional, afterschool, or youth development setting

• Ability to work after-school, on Saturdays and/or summer hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a 21st CCLC or extended learning program

• Experience working with at-risk student populations

• Knowledge of grant compliance and documentation requirements

• Strong classroom management and instructional technology skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver standards-aligned instruction aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
  • Provide targeted intervention, remediation, and enrichment to improve academic outcomes.
  • Implement evidence-based instructional strategies aligned to grant goals.
  • Support enrichment activities including STEM, arts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning as outlined in the approved grant plan.
  • Incorporate technology and hands-on learning to increase student engagement.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance, lesson plans, and participation records.
  • Submit required documentation for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Use formative assessments and progress monitoring tools to support continuous improvement.
  • Support family engagement activities that reinforce academic learning.
  • Collaborate with site coordinators, district coordinator, school-day teachers, and partners.
  • Participate in required professional development and grant training.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive environment in compliance with SCCPSS policies

Work Conditions & Grant Assurances
  • Position is contingent upon 21st CCLC funding
  • Compensation follows grant-approved pay rates
  • Work hours may include afternoons, Saturdays, and/or summer sessions
  • Employee must comply with all federal, state, and district grant requirements, including attendance, documentation, and participation expectations

Rate of Pay:

$30 per hour - Bachelor's degree
$35 per hour - Master's degree or higher
