Core Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the school's MTSS process.
  • Facilitate MTSS team meetings and data discussions.
  • Monitor student academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional data.
  • Ensure interventions are implemented with fidelity.
  • Collaborate with teachers, interventionists, counselors, administrators, and EC staff.
  • Maintain documentation and progress-monitoring records.
Knowledge Areas
  • Understanding of the MTSS framework (Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III supports).
  • Data analysis and interpretation.
  • Progress monitoring tools and assessments.
  • Evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Problem-solving process for identifying student needs.
  • Special Education referral procedures and legal requirements.
  • NC MTSS implementation guidelines (if applicable).
Leadership Skills
  • Ability to facilitate productive meetings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Coaching teachers on intervention strategies.
  • Building consensus and supporting school-wide implementation.
  • Organizing timelines, documentation, and follow-up actions.
Data Responsibilities
  • Review universal screening data.
  • Identify students needing additional support.
  • Monitor intervention effectiveness.
  • Track student growth and outcomes.
  • Use data to make instructional and intervention decisions.
