What You'll Do
Teach core academic subjects (you'll be assigned one) to small groups of students
Plan creative and interactive lessons that meet students where they are
Build trust and create a safe space for learning and growth
Track attendance and grades, and help students set goals
Work with other educators to share ideas and build success
Tutor students 1-on-1 or in small groups
Use both in-person and digital tools (yes, we blend tech + human interaction)
Be a mentor, motivator, and life-changer-all in a day's work

Must-Haves
Bachelor's Degree
A valid Florida teaching certificate - or a temporary certificate / proof of enrollment in an EPI or MAT program
Comfortable working full-time onsite at a DJJ facility
Willing to attend professional development, meetings, and trainings
Passionate about growth-both for your students and yourself
Extra Credit (Preferred but Not Required)
Certification in ESE, Reading, ESOL, or Gifted Education
Experience teaching in non-traditional settings or with at-risk youth
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
